Assistant Videotaped Children-Fox11-Attorney Mark Haushalter

An assistant middle school principle who volunteers at a high school in New Jersey was arrested for allegedly videotaping boys while they were in the locker room showers. Police got a search warrant to search the man’s home and they were able to find several different videos of high school aged boys taking showers. At the time of Mark Haushalter’s video appearance on Fox 11 to discuss the case, the man was facing more than 50 charges. Mr. Haushalter coins this type of case “Sandusky Syndrome” although the man in this case is still innocent until proven guilty. The alleged sex offender in this case used his position of authority (as a coach) to allegedly commit a sex offense. This particular type of sex offense is becoming more and more common in the media as coaches, teachers and the like across the nation are abusing their positions in order to commit criminal acts.
